It’s the end of our last week and our grand total (pending an update from the RRF, who are out of the office today) is £13,150: £8,662 for MERUK and £4,488 for the RRF. I’ll add the final RRF figure to the sidebar cashometer as soon as I get it.
So, a very heartfelt thank you from me to everyone who has contributed to our total – whether you’ve given loads (and some of you really have, thank you!) or a little, by working together throughout the year we’ve raised thousands and we should feel very proud (and we didn’t have to go up Everest or anything, phew!).
One last message, coming up next…
During a year's blog, now finished, I offered a new moneysaving tip each week, asking readers to donate part of any saving direct to biomedical research charities
The grand total raised during (and shortly after!) the campaign was £15,441 consisting of £10,779 for MERUK and £4,662 for the RRF, including all Justgiving pages and offline donations direct to the charities. Keep on giving!
Well done for raising so much and being so dedicated too! From Vikki (ME for 14 years, bedbound for 8 years)
Thanks, Vikki! And thanks for joining in.
Even though the campaign has finished, I’m still getting updates from MERUK as they’ve pulled in over £2,000 since 11 May! A massive proportion of that came from Antoinette Christie’s supporters who were sponsoring people running in the Belfast Marathon – see her JustGiving page for the hugely generous wads of cash with which people showered MERUK! Really impressive. Thanks, Antoinette, if you happen to see this! And thanks to those runners!
I’ve updated our campaign grand total – it’s currently £15,441. We can all feel proud!
